Wed, 03/08/2017 - 7:55am
  • The SAT word of the day is consecrated. Consecrated is an adjective meaning made holy or sacred. Fatima took her shoes off as she entered the mosque because she didn't want to dirty consecrated ground.

  • The answer to yesterday’s trivia question, the longest serving first lady, was Eleanor Roosevelt. Here’s today’s question: Violet Palmer made history in 1997 when she became the first female referee in any major U.S. pro sport, and the first woman to officiate for a playoff game in 2006. Which US professional sports league had the first female referee?

  • Attention NHS members: Our monthly meeting is today during Scorp Time. Be sure to see Ms. T or Ms. Bakhru immediately for a Scorp Time pass if you don’t already have one. And be ready for elections! Check your email for details.
