W. Ruth Conway Scholarship
Deadline: March 31, 2017
Award: varies
Specific Focus: African American graduating seniors from HCPSS and, African American women attending Howard Community College.  Applicant must possess a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA

DELTA SIGMA THETA SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
Deadline: March 1, 2017
Award: $500-$1000
Specific Focus:  Howard County High School African-American high school seniors who have excelled academically and plan to pursue a college degree. Must have a GPA of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale), must have performed school and/or community service, and must have demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • Research and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (REAP)
    • Location:  University labs throughout the nation
    • Dates:  Summer
    • Program Type:  Apprenticeship, STEM, career exploration, summer employment
    • Interests/Qualifications:  High school students in underserved and underrepresented populations, e.g., females, students who may receive a free or reduced lunch, or ethnic groups such as Hispanics or African Americans
