Morning Announcements - Friday, December 18, 2015

Fri, 12/18/2015 - 8:20am
  • The SAT word of the day is dense. Dense is an adjective meaning massed or crowded together; close; compacted. The crowd gathered to hear the speech was so dense that the spectators could barely move.

  • Remember Merit Cart Monday! Bring your merits to lunch on Monday!

  • Students, check for lost items in the front office. The Lost and Found will be emptied on Tuesday, December 22. Any items not claimed by Monday afternoon, December 21, will be donated to the clothing drive.

  • The "Save the Administrator" fundraiser is back. DECA will be collecting donations for Toys 4 Tots all week during lunch shifts. Donate money to a worthy cause, make a child's holiday memorable and save your favorite administrator all at the same time. Wallace, Schwartz, Galbreath and Cosentino....only one can be saved from getting a pie in the face at the Winter Pep Rally. All those who donate are eligible to be drawn to do some pie tossing at the Pep Rally.

  • Still need to get something for that special someone but don't have a lot of money? Buy them a candy gram for only $1. It is delivered right to them with a personalized message and a candy cane. Junior class is selling them during lunch shifts from now until Tuesday, December 22nd.

  • Do you like to write and want to hone your skills and bounce ideas off of like minded people in a safe, supportive environment? If so, please join the writing club. See Ms. Smith in room 410. It is not too late to join. The next writing club meeting will be next Monday, December 21st.

  • Staff and students, would you like to feel calmer, experience less stress, and be more creative? Please join us for mindfulness in the mornings. See Ms. Smith in room 410. No experience is necessary. We encourage you to bring a friend. Teachers, bring a student or two.

  • We have a lot of students who owe money to the cafeteria. Please take care of this debt before the winter break. We will mail letters home on 12/23. See Mrs. Holderman with questions.

  • And finally, please join Ms. Katlyn Moore’s dad in wishing her a Happy Birthday today.

  • Today for lunch we are having hot dog/chili dog, chicken patty or pork ribique.
