  • The SAT word of the day is charisma. Charisma is a noun meaning a quality that compels attention, admiration and desire. What the senator lacked in intelligence he made up for in charisma; everyone who met him found his presence to be enlivening.

  • In order to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, OMHS will be hosting a potluck dinner on tomorrow from 6-7:30pm in the cafeteria.  Bring a dish from a Spanish speaking country to share!  There will be entertainment as well.  Please see Ms Bowman in room 307 or Mrs. Alonso in her office near the cafeteria for more information or to sign up for a dish to bring.  We hope to see you there!

  • The Delta Scholars of Oakland Mills High School are hosting their first annual Blush and Bubbles Run on Friday, October 30th from 12:00 - 2:00pm at Oakland Mills High School.  The first 50 people to sign up will receive a t-shirt. Tickets will be sold during all 4th period lunches. Please come out and support the Delta Scholars!  We hope to see you there!

  • There will be an important meeting for student athletes interested in participating in Allied Bowling TODAY after school in the cafeteria at 2:15pm. Important paperwork will be given out. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Coach Laverick in room 309. 

  • Attention freshman and sophomores: ARL Shadow Days are coming November 17, 18, and 19. There are 3 options for 10th graders and one day for 9th graders. Permission slips are available in the Counseling Center. See your counselor or Mrs. Gilmartin for details. The deadline to sign up is November 6th.

  • For all boys interested in playing Lacrosse this spring: there will be a mandatory meeting TODAY at 2:15 in Coach Riss' room immediately after school.  The meeting shouldn't last longer than 15 minutes.

  • Today for lunch we are having buffalo chicken bites, pork ribique sub or hot turkey sub.
