Youth Police Academy: The Howard County Police Department will be hosting a free, one week overnight Youth Police Academy, July 8th-13th at the Public Safety Training Center. It is for students between the ages of 15-18 years old who are interested in a law enforcement career. The Youth Police Academy replicates the actual Howard County Police Academy. This experience is designed to help students explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills, and character education. Students will participate in role-playing, practical exercises, and physical training. For more information, contact your School Resource Officer or check out the Howard County Police Department website at www.hcpd.org under Youth Programs.
