Prom Tux Rental Fundraiser
Need a tuxedo rental for Prom? The PTSA is partnering with M. Stein, a local tuxedo rental company. Representatives will be at school on March 22 and April 11 to take measurements during lunch. You can order what you would like to rent online and the company will work directly with families. Tuxedos will be dropped off at OMHS after school on May 3 and can be returned to school on the morning of May 7! Make your tuxedo rental easy!!
After Prom - May 5-6 at OMHS 11pm-3am
Juniors and Seniors, and your dates please make your plans to attend the greatest After-Prom ever. Student signup sheets will be sent out at the school as we get closer to the event. The PTSA is paying for this event.
Parents/guardians, we need your help to make this party the best ever. Please consider helping out. We need donations of gift cards in any amount, 3 canopies (like the beach kind) to create "chill" spaces, small strings of lights (white or orange) for the canopies, waffle irons, pub style tables and chairs, and a couple pick up trucks to transport Foosball/air hockey tables. We also need 30 volunteers to put on a great and safe event. Parents/guardians of freshman and sophomore students please consider "paying it forward" and helping out. If your child is a junior or senior, we really need your help as well! One best-kept secret is that this is really fun for the volunteers too. Please contact Jennifer (dandjatkins@verizon.net) to donate and/or volunteer!
Host Families Sought for AFS Exchange Students:
Next school year, some twenty AFS exchange students from around the world will come to Howard County for a life-changing year. Exchange students live in a family such as yours and attend your local HS. Host families volunteer to provide room and board for a student and get to know a great kid and learn more about a different part of our world. Students are available from countries around the world, such as Norway, Italy, Indonesia, India, Japan, Thailand, and Germany and many more. You can pick kids who enjoy hobbies such as singing, playing soccer, baking, manga, or playing music.
If you would like to hear more about the process of becoming a host family or any other aspect of our program, please contact Christina McGarvey at (410) 997-7087 or AFSBaltimore@gmail.com.
Do you have a locking cabinet that needs a new home?
