Beginning on October 20, 2020, HC DrugFree and the State's Attorney's Office (with funding from the Health Department) are partnering to provide a series of 4 free online parenting classes open to Howard County parents/guardians. Registration required.

Free Online Classes for Parents and Guardians:

Howard County parents/guardians of 9 to 14 year olds are invited to attend free parenting classes.

Guiding Good Choices is an evidence-based, interactive prevention program that provides the families with the skills and knowledge to reduce the risk that their children will use drugs. After completing the program, families will be able to:

  • Influence their children to help prevent drug use and other risky behaviors.
  • Develop clear family guidelines and expectations about drug use.
  • Teach children how to stay out of trouble, keep their friends and still have a good time.

Dates: Tuesdays, October 20, 27 and November 10, 17, 2020 (no class on Election Day, November 3)
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Location: Online using Zoom.
