Specific Focus: Applicant Eligibility Requirements - The High School Senior College Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors who are citizens or aliens legally residing in the USA. Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; winner must enroll for classes beginning no later than Fall 2019 session. Winner selection is NOT based on financial need, GPA or demographic criteria.

NAME: Continental Societies, Inc. National Scholarship

Specific Focus: Continental Societies, Inc is a public service organization that is dedicated to serving disadvantaged and underprivileged youth. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior attending college for the first time. Applicant must have applied to and been accepted by a four-year college or university. Applicant must submit an essay, a letter of graduation substantiation, a copy of a college acceptance letter, an official high school transcript, three letters of reference and a list of memberships and affiliations, plus honors and awards.

Specific Focus: Who is eligible to apply? Graduating seniors from high schools in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and surrounding counties, planning to pursue environmental careers. (You must be accepted prior to receiving the award, into a 4-year bachelor’s program in an acceptable field of study by an institution of higher learning). Acceptable areas of study: environmental sciences, environmental engineering, civil engineering, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or natural resource planning – other areas of the environment will also be considered.

NAME: Howard County Striders' David Tripp Scholar/Athlete Award
