  • The media center will be closed all day for Student Voice Circles. We will be closed for Scorp Time and all lunches. 

  • Calling all students who drive to school!! Today is the last meeting to get your mandatory parking permit! We will meet in the auditorium promptly at 6:30. In order to be in attendance, you need to bring a parent/guardian. Be on time.  The doors will close at 6:30 on the dot and you will not be permitted to enter after that time.

  • The flu clinic will be held here at OM this Friday, the 25th in the back of the auditorium during first and second period.  If you have been signed up by your parent, you will receive a pass Friday morning from either your first or second period teacher telling you what time to report to the auditorium.  Please report promptly!

  • There will be an NHS meeting TODAY during Scorp Time in the auditorium. For HCC students, there is a make-up meeting during 6th period in Mrs. Mauriello's room 602.

  • Students: The NSA will be here TODAY to share scholarship and student opportunity information during 4th period. If you are interested in learning more about student opportunities with the National Security Agency, please see Mr. Ringgold or Student Services to sign up.

  • It’s Academic quiz bowl practice is TODAY!  Again, It’s Academic practice is TODAY!

  • Students and staff: Take a tour of France through the taste of fromage – that’s cheese! - with French Club on Today, October 23rd. We will be tasting some authentic French cheeses in room 306 from 2:30-3:00. À bientôt  (Ah bee-en-toe)!

  • Are you creative? Passionate about visual art? If so, please Join National Art Honor Society. It is a nationally recognized organization that works towards inspiring the community, fostering creativity, and having fun. Anyone who has successfully completed an Art 1 class is qualified to join us at our meeting TODAY, October 23rd, in room 708 from 2:15-3pm. See you there! If you have any questions please ask Ms. Steele or Ms. Bram in art.

  • The Gaming and Anime clubs will NOT be meeting this week.

  • Spirit Club will be meeting this Friday, October 25 after school in Ms. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome!

  • Love talking politics? Interested in getting involved and making a difference in your community? Come join the Young Democrats. We will be meeting Tuesdays in Ms. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome! (run through 10/29)

  • Are you interested in volunteering at Stevens Forest Elementary School for their Trunk or Treat event this Friday, October 25th? Volunteers would direct families to check in, put on tattoos, oversee and encourage dancing, and run the check in table. 5-6 students are needed from 6pm-7pm and Student Service Learning hours can be acquired. To sign up to volunteer please come by the front office and see Ms. Tyler.

  • Attention Students: Any student in need of service learning hours and is available Thursday, October 25th should see Mr. Quinn in Student Services as soon as possible. Please think about bringing a friend!

  • Attention Dual Enrollment Students! The deadline for HCC registration is Thursday, October 31. If you are taking a CC class and would like to receive college credit, you MUST register by October 31. Rebecca Morrow will be in Student Services every Wednesday to assist and answer questions. Also, the registration forms are available in Spanish for students and families who may want them. Please sign up in Student Services if you need assistance registering or if you would like copies the forms in Spanish.

  • Are you a current 10th grader and interested in seeing what ARL is like? Are you interested in Automotive, Construction, Biotechnology, Veterinary/Agriculture, HVAC to name a few? You will have the opportunity to shadow at the Applications and Research Lab (ARL). There are two dates available November 20th and November 21st. You can get your permission slip from Mrs. DeMasi in Student Services. You will need to get it signed and returned to Mrs. DeMasi by Friday, November 8th.

  • Want to learn how the Career and Technology Education Career Academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships, and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and participate in hands-on project based learning?  Courses of study include Arts, Media and Communication, Construction and Development, Hospitality and Tourism, Environmental, Health and Biosciences, Human Resources Services, Information Technology, and Manufacturing, to name a few. There are two dates available, November 13th and December 10th.  Please see Mrs. DeMasi in Student Services or your guidance counselor for more information.
