Hello OM CommUnity!
Happy New Year! I want to officially welcome everyone to the 2019-2020 school year. I like to begin each school year with the notion that this moment represents a time of new beginnings. It has been a wonderful summer at OM, and we are readily preparing for the return of our awesome Scorpions.
I am privileged to continue to serve as the Oakland Mills High School Principal. It is an honor to work with our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our wonderful students, supportive families, and amazing commUnity ... after all ... Oakland Mills is hOMe! I look forward to working with each of you to make the 2019-2020 school year a success.
Many of our staff commUnity have been busy at work this summer on various school improvement initiatives and curriculum writing. They have attended professional learning opportunities, and are prepared to implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all of our students’ needs. Our staff has been working hard in preparing their classrooms and lesson plans that promise to make for another exciting and productive year. We give many thanks to our custodial crew as they have been working diligently to prepare our campus so that our facility is ready to open its doors in just a few short weeks. We can’t wait to greet our amazing OMHS Scorpions!
The Oakland Mills High School commUnity reflects the core belief as being a place where we are strongest together. We are a commUnity where relationships and the sense of community means everything. The success achieved at OMHS is because of the people who make up our school community. Our students are passionate, eager, and ready to take on new challenges. OMHS staff are dedicated educators who have a passion for working with students. The families in our community are the hub of our success. As we move forward, we will continue on our journey with the support of our amazing commUnity, because: We Are OM…We Are Strongest Together!
