  • TODAY! Come to the Media Center after school to meet one of our candidates for Student Member of the Board of Education. Allison Alston will be here to campaign and answer questions. Stop by Media at 2:30 TODAY for this important voter town hall.

  • ATTENTION Volleyball players and interested players - There is a mandatory volleyball meeting after school TODAY in Room 203, in Ms. Anderson's room, for returning players and anyone interested in playing volleyball next season.

  • Juniors, would you like some help with SAT Math?  Mr. Davis will be teaching 4 SAT math prep classes Wednesdays after school.  The first session is  TODAY, Wednesday, March 27 after school from 2:20 to 3:30.  Come for what you can, we look forward to seeing you.

  • The Bible study will meet TODAY after school at 2:15 in 408, Mr. Jenkins' room.  All are welcomed to attend.

  • You must have a lunch pass to enter the Counseling Center during your lunch. How can you get a pass? Come first thing in the morning to Mrs. Monteith to get a pass before 1st period. If you arrive late, sign in with Mrs. Boyce and then come to the Counseling Center to get a pass.

  • Attention Juniors and Seniors- You have one week left to purchase a prom ticket for $65. They will increase to $70 starting in April. See Ms. Bouvier in room 310 before or after school, during Scorp Time, or on your way to lunch to purchase your ticket. You can also buy your tickets online by following the online payment link on the Oakland Mills High School website. Guest approval forms are available in the front office. Students with obligations will not be permitted to buy a ticket. See Ms. Bouvier for more information.

  • The Escorpiones Latinos will be meeting after school TOMORROW, Thursday, March 28 in room 200. Everyone is welcome!

  • The VIBES group will be meeting in Ms. Collins Room 501 TOMORROW, Thursday, March 28 at 2:15.

  • Hey OM! Do you like to listen to Caribbean music? Soca, Raggaeton, or Kompa? Want to taste Caribbean food? Come explore the Caribbean Cultural Connection club after school TOMORROW, Thursday, March 28, from 2:20-3 pm in room 102.

  • March is Red Cross Month. The Alpha Achievers are sponsoring a Blood Drive on Friday, March 29.  If you are interested in donating blood, please let Mr. Wallace, Mr. Ringgold, Malic Stafford or Adam Mostafa know. Remember, you must be at least 16 years old. Get your consent form today!

  • Attention Seniors - The yearbook is bringing back "Senior Quotes." You will be getting the opportunity to write your own message to appear in the yearbook.  Senior English teachers will be collecting your quotes in class within the next week.  They must be "APPROPRIATE" and there is a character limit. Speak to your English teachers if you have any questions. Deadline is Friday, March 29.

  • It's almost time for the Oakland Mills spring musical! The Oakland Mills Theater Department will be presenting Mary Poppins, from April 4-7th in the theater. Tickets are $12 at the door or online, but you can get them at lunch for only $10. Tickets will be on sale during lunches from Monday, March 25-Wednesday, April 3. Performances are Thursday-Saturday, April 4, 5 & 6 at 7:00p and Sunday, April 7 at 2:00p.Come out and see the amazing show we've put together!   • Oakland Mills High School will host a Howard County Military Interest Night in our café on Tuesday, 9 April 2019 at 6:30 PM.  Representatives will be on hand from service academies, ROTC detachments (colleges and universities) as well as all branches of the United States Armed Forces.  Students and other community members will have the opportunity to hear presentations and to interact with service and school representatives who will answer questions about their many programs.  This evening event is for anyone who thinks uniformed service might be in their future either before, during or after college.
