You will hear “Evacuate by the rear door”
Please leave your backpack, books etc. on the bus
2 older students may be designated to leave first to assist others at the rear door.
Please sit on the floor of the exit and hop down, do not Jump from a standing position.
Form a line at the entrance of the bus to get back on and retrieve your belongings

The Merit Monday cart will be open all lunch shifts. Please remember to bring your merits to lunch and respectfully remind your teachers to give out merits for responsible, respectful and ready behavior.

All Boys interested in playing basketball for Oakland Mills this winter, there is a mandatory meeting for both JV and Varsity players today, Monday, Oct. 15th in Coach Browne's Room 508 at 2:20. Due to the PSAT testing last week the National ART Honor Society meeting will be postponed until Wednesday, October 24. Those running for office should be prepared to present their speech at that time. Again, The NAHS meeting scheduled for this week is cancelled due to testing. We will meet in two weeks on Wednesday, October 24th.
Are you a current 10th grader and interested in seeing what ARL is like? Are you interested in Automotive, Construction, Biotechnology to name a few? You will have the opportunity to shadow at the Applications and Research Lab. There are three dates available November 27th, November 28th and November 29th. You can get your permission slip from Mrs. Monteith. You will need to get it signed and returned to Mrs. Monteith in the Counseling Center by November 8th.

Do you LOVE Shakespeare? Do you HATE Shakespeare? Either way, you will LOVE the Oakland Mills Theater Fall Production, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged” This hilarious comedy features a lively cast, one dead playwright, and 37 plays, all in under two hours. Performances run October 25th through 27th at 7pm in the OM Auditorium. Need a place after school to get your work done, to get organized and to get help in all your courses? Well the Scorpion Success after school program starts this Thursday in room 808. Applications are on the OMHS website, in guidance, in the front office and in Mrs. Urszuy's room 808. We meet in room 808 at 2:20. Come, have a snack and get your work done so you can relax at home and still improve your grades.
