The Outdoor Track & Field 2A South Regional Championships were held on 5/16 and 5/21 and the boys placed 3rd, just 3 points out of 1st, and the girls were 4th.
These scholar-athletes placed 4th or better and will be advancing to the state meet this coming Thursday and Saturday:
- Alika Gibson, Brandon Abraham, Darren Krausz and Jared Nguyen placing 2nd in the 4x800 relay
- Ashley Harvey, Seun Sule, Ciara Lott and Roshnee Roberts placing 2nd in the 4x100 relay
- Josh Dixon, Kyton Ovide, Chris Evans and Jahiem Turner placing 4th in the 4x100
- Alana Oppermann, Caitlyn Wenholz, Merina Seldon and Ciarra Lott placing 3rd in the 4x400
- Sean Howard, Alika Gibson, Brandon Abraham and Jared Nguyen placing 2nd in the 4x400
- Kyton Ovide placing 4th in the 300 hurdles
- Wenler Lopez placing 2nd in the discus and 2nd in the shot put
- Chris Evans placing 4th in the pole vault
- Rafi Cason placing 3rd in the 100 and 3rd in the 200
- Cameron Vereen placing 1st in the 100
- Caitlyn Wenholz placing 1st in the 800
- Jared Nguyen placing 3rd in the 1600 and 1st in the 800
- Seun Sule placing 3rd in the 100, 2nd in the long jump and 1st in the triple jump
