This week we celebrated National School Counseling Week, “School Counselors: Standards-Based, Student-Focused.” Our school counselors work with all students to remove barriers to learning by addressing students’ academic concerns, career options and social/emotional skills. The OMHS school counseling program helps to increase student achievement and provide a much-needed resource for students, parents, teachers and administrators. Our amazing school counselors are integral to student success. You make a difference every day.  Thank you Ms. Ueckermann, Mr. Quinn, Ms. Hart, Ms. Douglas, Mr. Scott, and Ms. Fick.

Scorpion Success will resume its full schedule until 4:15, starting Tuesday, February 13th. Buses will resume on the 13th as well.

The Pre Med club will meet in person after school next Monday, February 12th in Ms. Besnon’s room 806. See Ms. Benson for more information.

Are you interested in running Outdoor Track? There will be a meeting in room 507 directly after school on Thursday 2/8. Scan the QR Codes around the building for additional information.

Interested in representing OM as a member of our Dance Company next year? Have dance experience and want to skip the dance one prerequisite? Attend our Dance Company and Advanced Dance placement auditions on March 12th and 13th. You must register in advance. See Ms. Rocco with any questions.

Are you interested in playing softball this spring? Come to a softball interest meeting in Room 407, Coach Yarn's room on Monday, February 12th, immediately after school. Bring a friend. 

The Leadership International Leadership Club will be hosting the best event of the year " Donuts & Discussion" Come enjoy some delicious Dunkin' Donuts while talking about God. Bring your questions with you. This event is Thursday February the 8th at room 305. 2:40pm.

Welcome to Month 5 of our Career Spotlight! This month’s spotlight is Hospitality, Consumer Services, and Tourism Cluster. This month we will be exploring the different paths that Hospitality, Consumer Services, and Tourism can take you. At the end of the month, our virtual panel will host professionals in this cluster. Want to attend the session? Be sure to listen to the announcements and check Canvas for resources.

If you are playing Girls Lacrosse this year there will be a meeting after school on Tuesday 2/13/2024 in room 503.

Like to crochet or knit? Want to learn how? Come to Yarn Club every Thursday after school in room 307 (Mrs. Magrin's) room. Bring your own project or start one with us. See you there!

The merit cart will be open on Friday during all lunch shifts. Electronics, gift cards and more are available to be purchased using your scorp bucks and merits. Don’t forget to bring your scorp bucks and merits to lunch and respectfully remind your teachers to give merits out for being respectful, responsible and ready. All merits must have your name and a legible teacher signature.

To support the merit cart, Mrs. Urszuy will be selling snacks after school in room 808. Come support the merit cart and buy some chips and chocolate.
