Our long-awaited Chromebooks are here! And we have had many questions about students with personal computers so here is the answer---
YES, your child can continue to use his/her computer. However, many of our classes use applications that are pre-loaded onto the Chromebooks. This might be the only way that your child can access these applications. In addition, computers break, slowdown, etc. so why not have an extra computer around to use while your personal computer is being fixed? HCPSS is committed to 1:1 computer/student distribution. Please come get yours!
We will be handing out computers on Tuesday, February, 16 through Friday, February 19. When you arrive, please ring the doorbell, provide your student's name(s), and we will process a computer for you. We ask that you keep in mind social distancing (6 ft distance) and wear a mask as we hand out computers. Please review the following criteria below on when you should report to the school:
(The above message only applies to those students that do not have a school-issued computer or have a DELL computer.)
Please note that anyone with a DELL computer must exchange for a new Chromebook. We ask that you place the DELL computer and charger in a plastic bag with your name on it. Once we have your DELL computer, a new Chromebook will be issued to you.
