The State Board of Education has approved December 7, 2020 as the start of Winter Sports Season. This decision has been adopted by the Howard County School System.
Registration for Winter Season is NOW OPEN. If you are interested in participating in the voluntary pre-season in-person conditioning, you must complete the online paperwork. No student will be allowed to participate in pre-season conditioning without a complete online file. This includes the pre-evaluation sports physical.
Upload documents via the HCPSS Connect Parent Portal.
WE WILL NOT ALLOW WALK-UPS FOR THE VOLUNTARY CONDITIONING!
On-Line Registration MUST BE COMPLETED in order to participate.
Once parents have completed the on-line paperwork for conditioning, there is NO NEED to complete any additional paperwork for winter sports try-outs which begin on December 7, 2020.
Any athlete who completes their registration after the deadline for Conditioning is still eligible to participate in tryouts that are scheduled to begin December 7th. Registration for the Winter Season will be open until December 6th. This allows us time to create tryout pods. These pods will be formed by our athletic department. Additional information will be forthcoming.
Oakland Mills HS athletic department and administration will evaluate the number of registrants for pre-season workouts. The number of registrants will determine our structure for those workouts.
