Flu shot registration is underway. The website and process are the same as last year:
On the website, there are many options for vaccines – please make sure you pick one for the FLU VACCINE. The immunization clinics on the registration website are listed chronologically. Click on “find a vaccination clinic” and go to the bottom of the first page, you will see there are 9 pages of clinics. The first page or two that list clinics in Howard County are for the “catch up” clinics for students. Please DO NOT register for any of these! Pages 5-7 list all of our flu clinics. Students may choose any location they wish, OMHS is scheduled for 10/13 from 4 pm- 6 pm.
The vaccine is “free” in that you will need to enter your insurance information into the website at the time of registration. Insurance will be billed but there will be NO out of pocket and NO copay charges. THERE WILL BE NO WALK-UP OR PAPER REGISTRATIONS allowed this year, registration MUST be completed online. If you come by car, the flu shot will be administered without you leaving your car. There will be a table for people who walk to the clinic.
Any student can sign up for any clinic. If you are not comfortable submitting your insurance information, PLEASE get a flu shot somewhere (CVS, Walgreen, Target, etc). The CDC is STRONGLY recommending the flu shot for EVERYONE this year!!
