OMHS CommUnity:

In an effort to cut down on the traffic lines and the length of time it takes to drop off and maneuver students into the building in the morning, Oakland Mills High School is implementing a new traffic pattern starting Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Please carefully review the new MORNING traffic flow for the OMHS Campus.

NEW!!!! 

• Four (4) student drop off locations before 7:20 a.m. (Later arrivals enter via the front only)
• Drop off location determines departure to either Stevens Forest Road or Oakland Mills Road

Driving onto OMHS Campus:

All vehicles will continue to drive onto the OMHS Campus via Kilimanjaro Road from either Stevens Forest Road, Oakland Mills Road or Macomber Lane.  Drivers must yield to pedestrians crossing Kilimanjaro Road and the OMHS parking lot throughout the entire day.  

NEW!!! Four (4) student drop off locations (Please reference map):
A. Student drop off 1 & 2 – Left of the building by the football stadium – Exit to Stevens Forest Road ONLY
Drop off consists of two lanes (1 & 2) forking at the median.  Vehicles will stop, allowing students to exit from vehicles and safely to cross the parking lot and enter the building via the gym doors.
Vehicles will merge as approaching the exit to Kilimanjaro Road.  This drop off MUST TURN RIGHT ONLY exiting towards Stevens Forest Road.

B. Student drop off 3 & 4 – Front of the building – Exit to Oakland Mills Road Only
Drop off consists of two lanes (3 & 4) forking at the traffic cones.  Vehicles will stop, allowing students to exit from vehicles and safely cross the parking lot and enter the building via the front doors.
Vehicles will merge as approaching the exit to Kilimanjaro Road.  This drop off MUST TURN LEFT ONLY exiting towards Oakland Mills Road.
