  • Don’t forget tonight is Junior vs Senior boys volleyball game in the gym at 6:30pm.  Admission is free, we hope to see you there!!

  • Allied Soccer takes on the Wildcats at 3:00pm tomorrow, October 2 here at The Mill. Come out and support your Scorps.

  • Come out and support the Varsity Field Hockey Team as they take on Meade tomorrow at 4:00pm!  JV plays immediately following Varsity around 5:30pm. We ARE strongest together, and your support will give us an edge to get the win!

  • Wednesday will be wild! Don't forget to dress Wacky Tacky tomorrow and come out for the Juniors versus Seniors PowderPuff Football game at 7:00pm. Admission is $2 for students and adults, so bring your whole family!

  • The PTSA, the OMHS Hispanic Commitee, the Latino parents of OMHS, and the Escorpiones Latinos would like to invite you all to the Celebration of Hispanic Heritage, which will be held October 11th in the Cafeteria from 3 to 5 PM. Parents, teachers, students-- EVERYONE is invited for free food, music, and culture.  Hope to see you there!

  • Hey 9th graders! It’s Homecoming week and the Class of 2023 needs your help to decorate for our Woodstock Rock Homecoming hallway! Meet in room 306 after school today and Wednesday from 2:30 to 5pm as well as Thursday from 2:30 to 10pm – that’s right! - 2:30 to 10pm! Bring supplies such as paint, paint brushes, tape, and sharpie markers. Groovy man!

  • Come one come all, to the first inter-county Allied Soccer tournament on Saturday, October 5 at 10am. There's no better way to spend Homecoming morning than cheering for your fellow Scorpions as they take on Baltimore County.  

  • Class of 2020 - Are you looking for help to pay for college or a trade school?? Financial Aid officers from HCC will be at Oakland Mills on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th from 9am to 3pm to help students and their parents submit their FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please visit Student Services to learn how to sign up and what documentation to bring. 

  • Attention Seniors: thinking about a career in politics? Want to learn more about how government works? Apply to be a Maryland General Assembly Student Page! This is a paid position and a great opportunity to see the legislative process up close and personal. See Mr. Berry for more details--applications are due by Thursday, October 10th.

  • Thinking of a potential gift for the fall or holiday season? The OMHS Journalism staff has got you covered. They’re holding a Yankee Candle fundraiser to fund new editions of The Scroll. You can buy candles and other household items from today until Wednesday, October 16th. If you’d like to buy satisfying scents for you, your friends, or your family, buy a candle and help support The Scroll! For more information, see any of the Journalism students or Ms. Moore in Room 211.
