  • Our welcome home initiative is back. If you want to participate in a discussion with other students about our school's identity and how we can contribute to making it a better place sign up now for our welcome home program scheduled for Tuesday, November 11. Permission slips can be found in the counseling center and in the media center. Pick one up get it filled out and turn it in as soon as you can. For our students who have participated: tomorrow we are wearing our welcome home T-Shirts so please wear your welcome home T-shirt tomorrow Friday 10/25!

  • The Media Center is closed today during A & B lunches for Student Voice Circles. Please do not send any students during this time. The media center will reopen for C & D lunch.

  • This week, over 250 dancers attended a county-wide audition for the All-County Dance Performance Ensemble.  Congratulations to Oakland Mills Dancers, Jorden Dawson, and Xan Hopkins, who were among the 24 dancers selected to participate in this year's All-County Dance Performance Ensemble!

  • Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for there stellar performances yesterday at the Howard County Cross Country Championships. The boys were lead by Junior standout Baidy Ba who placed 2nd overall with a time of 15 minutes and 30 seconds. That is not only a personal best but a new school record! The girls were lead by Junior Ella Harris who placed 14th in a time of 20 minutes and 23 seconds. That is a new personal record and the 7th fastest time in school history! Great job and good luck at Regionals!

  • The flu clinic will be held here at OM TOMORROW Friday, the 25th in the back of the auditorium during first and second periods.  If you have been signed up by your parent, you will receive a pass Friday morning from either your first or second-period teacher telling you what time to report to the auditorium.  Please report promptly!

  • Student Voice Council is back!! Our first meeting will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 25th, 2019, during Period 1, in the Media Center. Get a pass from your first-period teacher and bring your friends!! See you there!

  • Are you still considering joining our Science Olympiad Club? Please join us this Sunday, October 27th from 9:00 to 12:00 in Ms. Doodigian's room. We have opened up another team and would love for you to join us!

  • The Gaming and Anime clubs will NOT be meeting this week.

  • Are you interested in volunteering at Stevens Forest Elementary School for their Trunk or Treat event tomorrow, Friday, October 25th? Volunteers would direct families to check in, put on tattoos, oversee and encourage dancing, and run the check-in table. 5-6 students are needed from 6pm-7pm and Student Service Learning hours can be acquired. To sign up to volunteer please come by the front office and see Ms. Tyler.

  • Any student in need of service learning hours and is available Tomorrow, October 25th should see Mr. Quinn in Student Services as soon as possible. Please think about bringing a friend!

  • Spirit Club will be meeting tomorrow, Friday, October 25 after school in Ms. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome!

  • For anyone interested in JV or Varsity Girls basketball, there will be an interest meeting held by the coaching staff in the cafeteria at 2:30pm on Monday, 10/28.

  • Love talking politics? Interested in getting involved and making a difference in your community? Come join the Young Democrats. We will be meeting Tuesdays in Ms. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome! (run through 10/29)

  • Do your parents or guardians speak Spanish? Mr. de la Mar will be hosting a College and Career readiness presentation given completely in Spanish. It will be held on Thursday, November 7 beginning at 7:00pm in the media center. This is specifically for all of our Spanish speaking families so that they can be informed about your future as students. It is for all grades, so please encourage your parents or guardians to attend. If you have any questions or would like a flyer for the event, speak with Mr. de la Mar.

  • Attention Dual Enrollment Students! The deadline for HCC registration is Thursday, October 31. If you are taking a CC class and would like to receive college credit, you MUST register by October 31. Rebecca Morrow will be in Student Services every Wednesday to assist and answer questions. Also, the registration forms are available in Spanish for students and families who may want them. Please sign up in Student Services if you need assistance registering or if you would like copies the forms in Spanish. Mr. de la Mar to read in Spanish

  • Are you a current 10th grader and interested in seeing what ARL is like? Are you interested in Automotive, Construction, Biotechnology, Veterinary/Agriculture, HVAC to name a few? You will have the opportunity to shadow at the Applications and Research Lab (ARL). There are two dates available on November 20th and November 21st. You can get your permission slip from Mrs. DeMasi in Student Services. You will need to get it signed and returned to Mrs. DeMasi by Friday, November 8th.

  • Want to learn how the Career and Technology Education Career Academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships, and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and participate in hands-on project-based learning?  Courses of study include Arts, Media and Communication, Construction and Development, Hospitality and Tourism, Environmental, Health and Biosciences, Human Resources Services, Information Technology, and Manufacturing, to name a few. There are two dates available, November 13th and December 10th.  Please see Mrs. DeMasi in Student Services or your student counselor for more information.

  • Attention Delta Scholars: All new Delta Scholars, please stop by the front office at the end day to collect your information packet.
