    • to bring a parent/guardian with you.  Only students with a parent/guardian will be admitted!

  • Freshmen - now is the time to vote for your Student Government Representatives. Look in Canvas, under the OMHS Student Resources course for a ballot called Class of 2023 Election Ballot. Vote today! Let your voice be heard!

  • Students, want a place you can chill and talk about anything without being judged?  Join United Voice Club in room 201.  A chance to make new friends and help everyone feel welcomed.  A safe/no judgement zone where anyone is welcome to discuss whatever they are feeling.  If interested, there will be an interest meeting tomorrow, Thursday, September 19 at 2:15pm.  Once again room 201, tomorrow, Thursday, September 19 at 2:15pm. Hope to see many there!!

  • Attention NHS members: Our first meeting of the year is TODAY, September 18 during Scorp Time in the auditorium. Be sure to get a pass from Ms. T or Mrs. Mauriello BEFORE the meeting.

  • Attention seniors! Our first senior exclusive event is almost here! The Senior Sunrise Breakfast will be on Friday, September 27 before school from 6:30 to 7:10. TODAY, September 18th is the last day to RSVP. To attend, you must RSVP on our website, omhs2020.weebly.com, and click on the “Senior Year” page. Your class SGA officers will be assisting people to sign up today during all lunch shifts.  For more information about signing up, check our bulletin board next to the cafeteria or ask a Class officer. We hope to see you all there!

  • Students, is your family file completed?  If not, you will not be able to participate in school activities such as homecoming and field trips.  If needed, pick up printed directions in the front office.

  • The Gaming and Anime Clubs will not be meeting this week.

  • OMHS is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout the month of September. We are kicking off this celebration with a door decorating challenge and judging contest September 18th, a film screening on the 19th, and a guest speaker on the 20th.  Students to participate in the door decorating contest, please speak to your 3rdperiod teacher on how to choose a theme, person, event our country with Hispanic roots that your class wants to highlight. Influencers who have made history in the past and those who are currently making history should be emphasized. Doors must be ready for voting after school on Wednesday, September 18.   • Attention Spirit Club: we’ll be meeting this Friday after school in Mr. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome!

  • Juniors and Seniors: the annual Homecoming PowderPuff game is almost here! Please look for an important announcement about sign-ups in Canvas or talk to Mrs. Florida in the Media Center. Sign up will be done via Canvas and will go live this week. Watch for info and be prepared!

  • Hey OM SOPHOMORES! Come out to hallway decorating on Mondays, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s from 2:20 to 3:30 pm in room 410, Ms. Powell's room. Work together with friends on decorating your hallway! We hope to see you there!

  • Class of 2020: Are you looking for help to pay for college or a trade school?? Financial Aid officers from HCC will be at Oakland Mills on Monday, Oct. 7th and Tuesday, Oct 8th from 9am to 3pm to help students and their parents submit their FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please visit Student Services to learn how to sign up and what documentation to bring.

  • Attention Seniors: thinking about a career in politics? Want to learn more about how government works? Apply to be a Maryland General Assembly Student Page! This is a paid position and a great opportunity to see the legislative process up close and personal. See Mr. Berry for more details--applications are due by Thursday, October 10th.
