Congratulations to the field hockey team as they won their first game of the season defeating Glen Burnie 6-2. Kenzie Minarcin scored all 6 goals, with assists from Abigail Reed & Megan Gunther. Their next game is against Wilde Lake this Thursday. Go Scorps!
Attention Juniors--if you're interested in helping with the homecoming hallway, please plan to stay after school tomorrow Sept. 12 in room 809.
Scorpiones Latinos Club will be meeting tomorrow, September 12 in room 400 with Ms. Shiah and Mr. de la Mar our new Hispanic Student Achievement Liaison. All students are welcome to attend starting at 2:15pm till 3:00pm.
The Homecoming Dance is almost here. If you are interested in bringing an outside guest to our dance, pick up a form in the front office. All outside guests must be approved before you can purchase their ticket. Don't delay.
Students, is your family file completed? If not, you will not be able to participate in school activities such as homecoming and field trips. If needed, pick up printed directions in the front office.
Juniors and Seniors: the annual Homecoming PowderPuff game is almost here! Please look for an important announcement about sign-ups in Canvas or talk to Mrs. Florida in the Media Center. Sign up will be done via Canvas and will go live next week. Watch for info and be prepared!

Are you interested in playing basketball this season? The boys’ basketball program will host an interest meeting Today, Wednesday, September 11, at 2:15 after school. Anyone interested in playing JV or Varsity needs to attend. For more information, see Coach Ty in the media center. The meeting will start at 2:15 sharp! Please do not be late!
It’s that time again. Wrestling club opens this week running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8pm. Come check out Orange Crush the biggest wrestling club in Maryland. Also, Coach Howell is hosting a pre season wrestling meeting geared towards returning wrestlers or veteran wrestlers on Thursday the 12th right after school in room 505.
The Environmental Club will be meeting in Mrs Connor's room after school tomorrow. If you are interested in conservation, protecting the environment, or even just a chance to work in the garden for service hours, come to room 804 after school on Thursday, the 12th.
Do you have school spirit? Like eating pizza and painting posters? Then come join spirit club where you can meet new people and friends, and of course, show your school spirit. This Friday, September 13th will be the first meeting of the year after school in Room 203, Ms. Anderson-Little's room. Stop by and check it out!
Freshmen - are you interested in representing your class as an elected member of Student Government? Get involved and run for office! Petitions are available now in the Media Center and are due at the end of school on Friday, September 13. Elections will be held on Wednesday, September 18th during ScorpTime. Talk to Mrs. Florida in the Media Center if you have questions.
Students - Monday, September 16th is the last day to take last year's final exams. Please make arrangements before September 16th to take your exams with your teachers. Any remaining Z grades will automatically turn to E grades after that date.
The Merit cart, containing gift cards, electronics and much more will be opening Monday September 16th during the 4 lunch shifts. All items can be purchased using Scorp Merits. Please bring your Merits to lunch and remind teachers to give them out for respectful, responsible and ready behavior. Looking ahead. PBIS will be raffling off Home Coming tickets on Friday October 4th. Don't forget your merits and remind teachers to give them out, increasing your chances at winning.
Want to come to the Counseling Center during your lunch? You'll need a lunch pass! Lunch passes are available in the Counseling Center from 7:00am until the start of 4th period. Starting next week everyone will need a lunch pass if you want to stay in the Counseling Center for lunchtime.
