  • Students, want a place you can chill and talk about anything without being judged?  Join United Voice Club in room 201.  A chance to make new friends and help everyone feel welcomed.  A safe/no judgement zone where anyone is welcome to discuss whatever they are feeling.  If interested, there will be an interest meeting TODAY,  Thursday, September 19 at 2:15pm.  Once again room 201, TODAY, Thursday, September 19 at 2:15pm  Hope to see many there!!

  • Freshmen - now is the time to vote for your Student Government Representatives. Look in Canvas, under the OMHS Student Resources course for a ballot called Class of 2023 Election Ballot. Vote today! Let your voice be heard!

  • The OMHS Film Club is honored to co-sponsor TODAY's screening of Selena as the first offering of the Hispanic Heritage Film Series. All students are welcome after school in the Media Center. 

  • Would you like to be a volunteer for the American Red Cross, help with blood drives, participate in volunteer opportunities? The Red Cross Club orientation will be held TODAY, September 19th at 2:30pm in room 608.  Hope to see you there!

  • Are you interested in socializing and learning about your roots? Come to the Afro-Caribbean Cultural Club. Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 24 at 2:20pm in room 102. See Mrs. Yarboi if you have any questions.

  • Join Oakland Mills' BCF for their first Bible study on Thursday, September 26. Come and be a part of young people who just want to know more about God. There will be snacks and drinks while we discuss what the Bible is really saying. It’s from 2:15 to 3:15 in Mr. Jenkins' room. See you there!

  • The Gaming and Anime Clubs will not be meeting this week.

  • Seniors, don’t forget to help us decorate our hallway for Homecoming. We are meeting TODAY from 2:10 to 4:00pm in Ms. Bove's room. Come out and help us decorate. For a complete schedule, look at our bulletin board next to the cafeteria.

  • Attention Spirit Club: we’ll be meeting tomorrow after school in Ms. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome!

  • Students, is your Family File completed?  If not, you will not be able to participate in school activities such as Homecoming and field trips.  If needed, pick up printed directions in the front office.

  • Class of 2020 - Are you looking for help to pay for college or a trade school?? Financial Aid officers from HCC will be at Oakland Mills on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th from 9:00am to 3:00pm to help students and their parents submit their FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please visit Student Services to learn how to sign up and what documentation to bring. 

  • Attention Seniors: thinking about a career in politics? Want to learn more about how government works? Apply to be a Maryland General Assembly Student Page! This is a paid position and a great opportunity to see the legislative process up close and personal. See Mr. Berry for more details--applications are due by Thursday, October 10th.
