  • Congratulations to our newly elected Freshmen Class Student Government Officers, Chisom Onukwugha, Erin Gunther, Keela Davis, Deedee Ribeiro, and Benedicta Asamoah.

  • Students, is your Family File completed?  If not, you will not be able to participate in school activities such as homecoming and field trips.  If needed, pick up printed directions in the front office.

  • Attention Spirit Club: we’ll be meeting TODAY after school in Mrs. Anderson-Little’s room, room 203. All are welcome!

  • The Gaming and Anime Clubs will not be meet today.

  • Any student who currently flies Ddones or is interested in learning how to fly a drone should attend an interest meeting in Mr. Yarn's room, Room 407 on Wednesday, September 25th immediately after school. Based on attendance, we will explore the possibility of establishing the OM Drone Flying Club.

  • Hey OM SOPHOMORES! Come out to hallway decorating on Mondays, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s from 2:20 to 3:30 pm in room 410, Ms. Powell's room. Work together with friends on decorating your hallway! We hope to see you there!

  • Are you interested in socializing and learning about your roots? Come to the Afro-Caribbean Cultural Club. Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 24 at 2:20 in room 102. See Mrs. Yarboi if you have any questions.

  • Join Oakland Mills’s BCF for their first Bible study on Thursday, Sept 26. Come and be apart of Young people who just want to know more about God. There will be snacks and drinks while we discuss what the Bible is really saying. It’s from 2:15 to 3:15 in Mr. Jenkins room. See you there!

  • The Merit Cart, containing gift cards, electronics and much more will be open Monday during the 4 lunch shifts. All items can be purchased using Scorp Merits. Please bring your Merits to lunch and remind teachers to give them out for respectful, responsible and ready behavior. Looking ahead: PBIS will be raffling off Homecoming tickets on Friday, October 4th. Don't forget your merits and remind teachers to give them out, increasing your chances at winning.

  • Class of 2020 - Are you looking for help to pay for college or a trade school?? Financial Aid officers from HCC will be at Oakland Mills on Monday, Oct. 7th and Tuesday, Oct 8th from 9am to 3pm to help students and their parents submit their FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please visit Student Services to learn how to sign up and what documentation to bring. 

  • Attention Seniors: thinking about a career in politics? Want to learn more about how government works? Apply to be a Maryland General Assembly Student Page! This is a paid position and a great opportunity to see the legislative process up close and personal. See Mr. Berry for more details--applications are due by Thursday, October 10th.
