This past Saturday, May 18, 2019, the boys and girls track teams finished up the 2a South Regional Championships. The boys took home 2nd place overall and the girls finished 4th overall. OM had 4 Regional Champions:

Seun Sule - 4th in the 100, 3rd in the Triple Jump and 2nd in the Long Jump
Bernardette Molokwu - 7th in the 100 and 3rd in the 200
Megan Gunther - 5th in the 100h and 2nd in the 300h
Deon Breland - 3rd in the 110h, 2nd in the 300h, 2nd in the LJ
Isiah Rucker - 5th in the 110h and 6th in the 300h
Josh Whitaker - 7th in the 100h
Rafi Cason - 2nd in the 200 and 2nd in the 400
Javier Relf - 8th in the 200
Jahiem Turner - 4th in the 300h
Ciara Lott - 4th in the 400
Alana Oppermann - 7th in the 400
Baidy Ba - 6th in the 800, 4th in the 1600 and 3rd in the 3200
Frederick Eiland - 7th in the 800, 7th in the 3200 and 3rd in the 1600
Caitlyn Wenholz - 5th in the 800
Christian Badham - 8th in the Shot Put
Girls 4x1 of Ciara Lott, Bernardette Molokwu, Jade Bangoura and Seun Sule got 3rd
Boys 4x2 of Josh Dixon, Javier Relf, Jahiem Turner and Sean Howard got 4th
Girls 4x2 of Bernardette Molokwu, Jade Bangoura, Arianna Marshall and Alana Oppermann got 4th
Boys 4x8 of Baidy Ba, Frederick Eiland, Andrew Bray and Alex Kohn got 4th
Girls 4x8 of Caitlyn Wenholz, Olivia Porter, Ella Harris and Maddie Hensley got 5th
Over 15 athletes qualified for the state meet on Thursday, May 23 and Saturday, May 25. Good luck Scorpions!
