Oakland Mills High School will host a Howard County Military Interest Night in our café on Tuesday, 9 April 2019 at 6:30 PM. Representatives will be on hand from service academies, ROTC detachments (colleges and universities) as well as all branches of the United States Armed Forces. Students and other community members will have the opportunity to hear presentations and to interact with service and school representatives who will answer questions about their many programs. This evening event is for anyone who thinks uniformed service might be in their future either before, during or after college.
March is Red Cross Month. You can be part of the Red Cross’ humanitarian mission by donating blood to bring hope and help to patients in need. The Alpha Achievers are sponsoring a blood drive on Friday, March 29 in the gym. If you are interested in donating blood, please let Malic Stafford, Adam Mostafa, Mr. Ringgold or Mr. Wallace know that you are interested. Sign ups will begin later this week.
Come and listen to "Axes and Ivories - A Music Recital" featuring the Oakland Mills HS Piano and Guitar studios. Thursday, March 14th at 7:00pm - Free admission (suggested $3 donation).
Any students who applied for the Intern-Mentor program: Interviews have begun. Please stop by room 402 and sign up for an interview. Interviews will be held during lunch and after school.
Prom will take place on April 27th at 8 PM at the Maryland Science Center in the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Prom Tickets will be on sale from Monday March 4th to Friday April 15th. Tickets are $65 for the month of March and will increase to $70 in April. You can purchase your tickets anytime online through the online payments link on the Oakland Mills website. You can also purchase your tickets in person before and after school in Mrs. Bouvier's room, room 310.
Tickets will not be sold to students with obligations. Guest forms will be available in the main office. Please see Mrs. Bouvier if you have any questions.
