  • Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team for their incredible work this past weekend. Thirteen students competed in 24 Science and Engineering events at the Regional tournament at Mt. Hebron High School. Every student took home an award! Our efforts have landed us a place at the State Competition at Johns Hopkins on March 30th.

  • Yesterday the boys and girls track teams competed in the Maryland State Championships. The girls were lead by Bernadette Molokwu was placed 6th in the 55 meter dash and ran the lead off leg on the 3rd place 4x2 relay with Seun Sule, Ciara Lott and Alana Oppermann who also ended up breaking the school record! The girls 4x4 of Ciara Lott, Megan Gunther, Arianna Marshall and Alana Oppermann also had a very solid showing placing 9th. The boys’ team was lead by senior Rafi Cason who placed 7th in the 55 meter dash, 2nd in the 300 meter dash and ran a leg on the 2nd place 4x2 relay with Chris Evans, Jahiem Turner and Deon Breland. But the highlight of the night came on the last race of the meet in the boys 4x4 relay. The team of Chris Evans, Rafi Cason, Javier Relf and Deon Breland took 1st place making them your new Maryland State champions! The boys’ team ended up placing 3rd overall. Congrats to all the runners who ran yesterday.

  • Want to come to the Media Center during your lunch? A new procedure went into effect last week. Students must have a pass to access the Media Center during 4th period. See the announcement in Canvas for details.

  • Have you seen every Marvel movie? Counting the days until Avengers: Endgame is out? Come by Room 212 on Wednesday, February 20 for Film Talks, and discuss the Marvel Cinematic Universe with your fellow students.

  • The event of the season is almost here. Join us Saturday, February 23rd for the First Annual SnowCo Dance. Get your tickets starting Friday during lunches. Buy your tickets early!

  • Attention Juniors: Are you interested in buying a class ring to commemorate your four amazing years at OM? Information and order forms are available in your English classes, or in Ms. Bouvier's room. A representative from Josten's will be here during all lunch shifts on Wednesday, February 20 to answer any questions and to take orders. See Ms. Bouvier for more information.

  • Attention Seniors: Do you want the chance to speak at your graduation? Graduation speech auditions will be on February 27, 2019 at 2:30pm in Room 211. Please prepare a speech that centers around: “We are OM and we are strongest together.” Please see Ms. Moore to sign up, or for more information about the audition process.

  • AP Exam Registration is open, until March 22.  To register, students must complete Naviance survey and return the printed/signed survey to Guidance with payment.

  • The Bible study will meet tomorrow after school at 2:15 in 408, Mr. Jenkins' room.  All are welcomed to attend.
