Tomorrow is the flu clinic at Oakland Mills. If you were signed up to receive the flu vaccine, you will receive a blue pass tomorrow first thing during first period. Seniors - Please be sure to bring in a discretionary note if you plan to be out of school on PSAT day, Wednesday, October 10. This will ensure that your absence is excused. You can give notes to either your English teacher or directly to Ms. Boyce.
Do you need a place after school to get your work done, to get organized and to get help in all your courses? Well the Scorpion Success after school program starts this Thursday in room 808. Applications are on the OMHS website, in guidance, in the front office and in Mrs. Urszuy's room 808. We meet in room 808 at 2:20. Come, have a snack and get your work done so you can relax at home and still improve your grades.
Homecoming Court nominations are now open! Check your Oakland Mills Student Resources course in Canvas for an ungraded survey named Homecoming Court. You have until Thursday to nominate. Students interested in buying tickets to the homecoming dance - please remember that your family file must be updated online by your parent/guardian. You will not be able to purchase a ticket without an updated family file. Printed directions are available in the front office.

All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT on October 10th. Please bring your own calculator to your testing room. There will be a limited supply of calculators in the 11th grade testing rooms which will be first come, first serve. Math teachers will not be loaning calculators this year so it is imperative that you come to your testing room prepared on October 10th. Good luck on the PSAT!

Want to join a group of people who love reading modern and classic books? Join the OMHS Book Club! For our first meeting, read The Hate You Give and then come to the Media Center to discuss this award-winning book with other people who loved it! We will have snacks, great conversation, AND we'll make plans for future book club gatherings. We can also talk about the release of movie version of The Hate You Give in October!
