OMHS Parents/Guardians,
If your child is enrolled in Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology, English 10, and/or Government, they will be taking state assessments starting in April and May. Why are these assessments important?
- The Biology and Government state assessment is their final exam and counts for 20% of their final grade in the course.
- Algebra I, Algebra II, and English 10 assessment scores identify your child as College and Career Ready, which is marked on their high school diploma when they graduate.
- They must take all assessments in order to graduate.
When are the assessments?
- English 10: April 16 - April 17
- Algebra II: April 27 - May 1
- American Government: May 4 - May 8
- MISA (Biology): May 11 - May 15
- Algebra I: May 18 - May 22
What do you need to bring for your assessments?
- Pencils
- Non-bluetooth headphones that can plug into your Chromebook
- School-issued Chromebook
- Personal reading material that you will be able to access at the conclusion of testing.
ALL TESTING STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED/DIRECTED/EXPECTED TO PUT THEIR PHONES, SMART WATCHES, TABLETS, AI GLASSES, ETC. INTO THEIR BACKPACKS THAT WILL BE STORED AT THE FRONT OF THE ROOM DURING TESTING. Any student who uses any one of these devices during testing will have their assessment invalidated, and that student will have to re-take the assessment.
