Scorpion Success Academic Intervention Program
The Scorpion Success after-school program is designed to support students in all of their academic subjects. Led by certified teachers, our aim is to support classroom instruction by providing study skills assistance and reteaching of essential skills. Additionally, the program will provide enrichment lessons and activities.
Program Snapshot & Registration
Scorpion Success meets after school in the media center for approximately an hour and a half every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Snacks are provided, and a bus is available for students who need transportation. (See below for program dates and bus stops.)
Registration is required. Complete the registration form before October 1, 2026 to join at the start of the program.
Missed the Deadline?
Students who register after October 1 may join at the start of a following month:
Start Date: November 4; sign up by October 23
Start Date: December 1; sign up by November 20
Start Date: January 5; sign up by December 18
Scorpion Success Schedule
- 2:40 PM - End of School Day
- 2:45 PM - Snack, Socialization, Goal Setting
- 3:00-4:00 PM - Teacher support in all subjects; Reflection
- 4:15 PM - Bus departs
- Please note: The bus will only run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There will be no bus transportation on Thursdays.
Students who have been invited to the program must remember to embody the mission and vision of Oakland Mills and understand that they must be ready to be challenged and pushed to achieve academic and personal success. Students must come to the program with their Chromebooks and a willingness to work, which includes activities beyond homework.
