Scheduling for the 2021-2022 School Year
Course selection for the 2021-2022 school year has been extended for students and parents until January 18th. Log on to https://www.hcpss.org/connect/ to register for 2021-2022 courses.
All students should register for a total of seven credits and four alternate credits. Keep in mind if you select a ½ credit class for an alternate you will need a second ½ credit class to go with it. Here is a link to video directions for picking out courses: Rising 9th - 12th grade Course Requests & Alternates Selections. This will include:
- Recommended courses - These recommendations were pre-populated by HCPSS and reviewed by your semester 1 teachers (English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and World Language). Students with semester 2 courses in the above content areas were pre-populated as well. Additionally, semester 2 teachers will have the opportunity to give families input on the recommendation in April.
- Course Placement Review process - If students/parents choose to request a review of a recommendation, a CPR form is located in HCPSS Connect Parent account. Click on the ‘More Options’ link on the left panel and select ‘Course Placement Review’. Here is a link to video directions: Rising 9th - 12th grade CPR Request: Parent Directions
- Course electives - chosen by the student/parent: https://www.hcpss.org/f/academics/hs-catalog-2021-22.pdf
- Four alternates - chosen by the student/parent. The first alternate needs to be an 8th class in the event that HCPSS goes to a 4X4 schedule next year. The other 3 should be classes you wish to take in the event you can’t be scheduled for your requests or your request(s) are not offered next year.
