And now today’s question - In 1664, Maryland was the first state to pass a law banning this between blacks and whites, all the other states followed. In 1967, Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter broke the law in DC. When they returned home to Virginia, they were arrested, convicted, and each faced a year in jail. Hey OM! One round of auditions for the Spring Musical Revue has taken place but we have one more day for auditions this Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM. If you've ever thought it might be fun to perform on stage, or if you've ever wondered what it would be like to be part of the theater, this is your opportunity to try! No experience is necessary. Just bring a sense of fun and a willingness to learn and you, too, can be a part. For more information see Mr. Hale in the band area or see the notice next to the theater bulletin board. Remember, this Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM. Who knows, you may be a star in the making!
Anyone who wants to play softball this spring should submit their paperwork to coach Yarn no later than tomorrow. If you still need paperwork, see Coach Yarn in room 407. Softball workouts continue on Friday this week at 2:30 in Coach Yarn's room.
If you like to have fun and hang out with a like minded group of people, come join the ping pong club after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in the JROTC room, room 509. Students who don't know how to play can learn, and experienced players can be challenged. All are welcome.

The 2A West Sectional Playoffs are this Friday, February 24th here at OM. The girls play Liberty at 5 PM, and the boys play Marriott’s Ridge at 7 PM. Admission for this double header is $6. No passes are accepted at playoff games, so you will have to buy a ticket. Also, there is no re-entry. That means if you leave, you will have to pay another $6 to return to the game. Come out and support the Scorps!
Today for lunch we are having pork ribique sub, hamburger/cheeseburger or toasted cheese & turkey sandwich.
