  • The answer to yesterday’s question - Esther Jones was the inspiration behind the Betty Boop character. And now today’s question - In 1664, Maryland was the first state to pass a law banning this between blacks and whites, all the other states followed. In 1967, Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter broke the law in DC. When they returned home to Virginia, they were arrested, convicted, and each faced a year in jail.  Their case went to the Supreme Court, Loving v. Virginia. What law did the Supreme Court declare unconstitutional in 1967?

  • Hey OM!  One round of auditions for the Spring Musical Revue has taken place but we have one more day for auditions this Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM. If you've ever thought it might be fun to perform on stage, or if you've ever wondered what it would be like to be part of the theater, this is your opportunity to try! No experience is necessary.  Just bring a sense of fun and a willingness to learn and you, too, can be a part.  For more information see Mr. Hale in the band area or see the notice next to the theater bulletin board.  Remember, this Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM.  Who knows, you may be a star in the making!

  • Anyone who wants to play softball this spring should submit their paperwork to coach Yarn no later than tomorrow. If you still need paperwork, see Coach Yarn in room 407. Softball workouts continue on Friday this week at 2:30 in Coach Yarn's room.

  • If you like to have fun and hang out with a like minded group of people, come join the ping pong club after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in the JROTC room, room 509. Students who don't know how to play can learn, and experienced players can be challenged. All are welcome.
