Junior Naquan Williams-Day is this year's first HoCo Boys Basketball Player of the Week. As noted in the Baltimore Sun:
"The junior guard led the Scorpions to four straight wins to open the season, averaging team-highs of 19.3 points, 3.75 steals and 1.25 blocks a game. He also pulled down an average of seven rebounds a game in the four victories. Williams-Day’s biggest game came in Oakland Mills’ most lopsided victory thus far, scoring a career-high 27 points in a 94-59 win over Howard."
