  • The SAT word of the day is gourmet. Gourmet is a noun meaning a connoisseur in eating and drinking; an epicure. Jerome considered himself a gourmet, and would search the entire city for just the right kind of wine to complement the food he intended to serve his guests.

  • Congratulations to the OM Engineering team that took 1st place in the 2nd annual Howard County Pumpkin Chunking contest. The team took 1st in accuracy, hitting the target on all three attempts; 1st place in Precision, grouping of the shots, and 1st place in overall design.  As you see the following team members around school, be sure to congratulate them: Jordan Foster, Lester McCrea, Harrison Baldwin, Aaleyah Lewis, and Cameron Garrant.

  • Remember Merit Cart Monday! Bring your merits to lunch!

  • All boys’ basketball paperwork is due to Coach Browne in room 508 ASAP.

  • Alpha Achievers applications are due TODAY to Mr. Quinn in guidance. The Induction Ceremony will be November 10, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Don’t miss this great opportunity.

  • Need Math Help? Come to room 704 during your lunch shift on Wednesdays.  See your math teacher or Ms. Gulotta for a pass.

  • There will be a mandatory Delta Scholars meeting and rehearsal today in the media center from 2:15-4:00 for new and current Delta Scholars.  If you need to be excused you must notify Ms. Smith. Look forward to seeing you there!

  • Students, would you like to help your family with holiday cooking?  Mrs. Savage is hosting holiday cooking classes right after school, beginning Wednesday November 11th.  Space is limited so sign up right away.  Sign up sheets are available outside Mrs. Savage's room 701.  

  • Looking for a great community service project?  If so, come to Mrs. Savage's room right after school on Wednesday to plan a community based fundraiser for Grassroots Homeless Shelter.  

  • Today for lunch we are having beef taco, chicken patty or hot vegetable sub.
