The SAT word of the day is audible. Audible is an adjective meaning capable of being heard; loud enough to be heard. The teacher’s remarks were barely audible amid the buzz of the noisy students.
The boys’ cross country team beat Centennial and Marriotts Ridge. Joey Navarro led the way with his 1st place finish. Jared Nguyen placed 3rd, Kelsey White 4th place, Frederick Eiland 7th, and Gavin Kohn 10th. Brit Lang finished first in the girls’ race and Grace Chaverini was 3rd.
The Delta Scholars of Oakland Mills High School are hosting their first annual Blush and Bubbles Run on Friday, October 30th from 12:00 to 2:00pm at Oakland Mills High School. The first 50 people to sign up will receive a t-shirt. Tickets will be sold during all 4th period lunches beginning today. Please come out and support the Delta Scholars! We hope to see you there!
All students going with Mrs. Urszuy on the stream trip should meet in room 808 at 8:24am, the start of period 2.
The Be The Change meeting will be taking place in Ms. Wright's room, #209, after school tomorrow. Anyone who is interested is invited to attend.
Ladies & Gentlemen: The Theatre Department presents THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW with a reading of THE RAVEN today through Saturday at 7:00pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets are $10, EXCEPT for tonight when there's a student-only special - $5 for all students! See you at the show!
Students, if you have lost any items this year, please check the Lost and Found in the front office. The Lost and Found will be emptied on Friday, October 23rd. Any items not claimed by Friday morning will be donated to the clothing drive.
If you are in need of community service hours, please come to Mrs. Savage's room immediately after school on Thursday in room 701.
The film club will be meeting today after school in Room 707.
Be sure to watch our It's Academic team's first round match this Saturday at 10am on WJZ TV.

Softball conditioning resumes TODAY after school. Anyone interested in playing softball in the spring should plan on attending. We will meet on the softball field at 2:40.
Today for lunch we are having meat lasagna, chicken patty or cheeseburger sub.
