The Outdoor Track & Field 2A South Regional Championships were held on 5/16 and 5/21 and the boys placed 3rd, just 3 points out of 1st, and the girls were 4th. These scholar athletes placed 4th or better and will be advancing to the state meet this coming Thursday and Saturday: Alika Gibson, Brandon Abraham, Darren Krausz and Jared Nguyen placing 2nd in the 4x800 relay, Ashley Harvey, Seun Sule, Ciara Lott and Roshnee Roberts placing 2nd in the 4x100 relay, Josh Dixon, Kyton Ovide, Chris Evans and Jahiem Turner placing 4th in the 4x100, Alana Oppermann, Caitlyn Wenholz, Merina Seldon and Ciarra Lott placing 3rd in the 4x400, Sean Howard, Alika Gibson, Brandon Abraham and Jared Nguyen placing 2nd in the 4x400, Kyton Ovide placing 4th in the 300 hurdles, Wenler Lopez placing 2nd in the discus and 2nd in the shot put, Chris Evans placing 4th in the pole vault, Rafi Cason placing 3rd in the 100 and 3rd in the 200, Cameron Vereen placing 1st in the 100, Caitlyn Wenholz placing 1st in the 800, Jared Nguyen placing 3rd in the 1600 and 1st in the 800 and Seun Sule placing 3rd in the 100, 2nd in the long jump and 1st in the triple jump.
