  • Lunch: oven baked grilled cheese; pepperoni & cheese calzone; chicken patty or spicy chicken patty.

  • Do you or someone you know need a prom dress? Becca’s closet at Atholton High School still has over 500 free prom dresses to give away! The closet will be opened April 14th at 1:30pm. If you plan to attend please email Krista_Bopst@hcpss.org.

  • The Vincent James Award is in honor of Vincent James, a former teacher at Oakland Mills High School. The Scholarship is given to a senior who best exemplifies Mr. James' ideals: Community Service, academic excellence, and outstanding personal character. The award is available for graduating seniors attending a 2 or 4 year college or university and the recipient of this award will earn a one time $1,500 scholarship. Applications are due to Ms. Hart no later than 2:10 on April 30th.

  • Attention Seniors: You must order a cap and gown to participate in graduation on May 25. If you have any questions on how to order, please come to the counseling center.

  • There will be an environmental club meeting on Thursday, April 12 after school in Ms. Connor's room to discuss the planting day and upcoming projects.

  • Students interested in running for Student Government office for the 2018-2019 school year should pick up a petition in the Media Center today! Officers are needed for each grade level and Executive Board. Petitions are due on Friday, April 13th. Speak to Mrs. Florida in Media if you have any questions.

  • If you are bringing an outside guest to prom, guest approval forms are now available in the front office. This form must be approved by your administrator before you can buy a ticket for any guest who is not an OM student.

  • Attention all seniors: Class Night is Wednesday, April 18th at 6:30! Tickets will be on sale for $60 from Wednesday, April 11- Friday, April 13. Pick up a field trip from at the front office or Ms. Kaufmann's room before purchasing your ticket.

  • Attention seniors:  You will not be able to attend class night if your family file/emergency card is not completed online – even if you have bought a ticket.  The list of students who are not yet eligible for class night can be checked in guidance, the front office, or through Ms. Kaufmann, Ms. Alonso and Mr. Ringgold.  Printed directions are available for your family in the front office.

  • The Escorpiones Latinos Club will be meeting today after school in room 411. Everyone is invited.

  • The Class of 2019 is hosting a movie night here at Oakland Mills. Come to the auditorium April 20th for a showing of Insidious 4. $5 dollars. Snacks are included and range from candy to drinks to chips and popcorn. Keep a lookout for Juniors selling tickets or see Mrs. Bailer in room 208 to secure your spot for Insidious 4.

  • All bus riders please read carefully:
    • We will hold Bus evacuations on April 18 in the morning as your buses arrive at school.
    • You will hear “Evacuate by the rear door.”
    • Please leave your backpack, books etc. on the bus.
    • 2 older students may be designated to leave first to assist others at the rear door.
    • Please sit on the floor of the exit and hop down, do not Jump from a standing position.
    • Form a line at the entrance of the bus to get back on and retrieve your belongings.
    • Thank you for your help with bus evacuations!

  • Claire's Fundraiser packets are due to Mrs. Bailer in room 208 by this Friday, the 13th. This is your last fundraising opportunity to get free prom tickets! If you already earned a free prom ticket, you may also opt for a gift card to Chik-fil-a, Chipotle or Starbucks.
