  • The SAT word of the day is discount. Discount is a verb meaning to take no notice of; to reduce the price or value of. Susie felt ignored and unimportant when her older sisters would discount her opinions.

  • In honor of National Assistant Principals' Week, we will spotlight each of our administrators!  Ms Young has been at OMHS since August.  She loves being at OMHS!  She enjoys reading and going to plays and musicals.  She loves to travel and has a vast background in education!

  • Do you like Chick-fil-A?  Come join us TONIGHT at the Dobbin Chick-fil-A for a fundraiser benefiting the class of 2020. You must bring a yellow flyer and purchase food anytime between 5 PM and 9 PM tonight. Yellow flyers will be distributed throughout the school day today, or see Ms. Bové or Ms. Hepler for extras.  See you tonight at Chick-fil-A!

  • We will be holding a freshman class meeting today during Scorp Time.  All 9th graders should report to the auditorium during Scorp Time today.

  • Attention seniors: You must have your Student Service Learning hours submitted to Mr. Quinn by Friday, April 7, in order to be eligible for the Senior Breakfast on April 19. In addition, all senior obligations must be resolved with Ms. Brown by this Friday in order for you to attend the Senior Breakfast.

  • Students, the Lost and Found area in the main office is teeming with items including clothing and keys. Please come in and look for your missing items. Unclaimed items will be discarded or donated tomorrow.

  • Seniors, the deadline for the PTSA $500 scholarship is almost here. Applications must be in by 9AM, April 18th. There is only one question to answer. Don’t wait until the last minute. Get your application in Guidance now!

  • If you are interested in running for office with Student Government for your class or Executive Board, petitions are now available in the Media Center. Not sure and want more info? See Mrs. Florida for details. 

  • Applications for the FAB - Elaine Reid Scholarship are available in guidance and from the music directors.  The application deadline is April 21st.

  • Juniors and seniors - if you are bringing an outside guest to prom, that guest must be approved before you purchase their ticket. Forms for guest approval are available now in the front office. They are to be completed and returned to the office no later than Friday, April 21st. 

  • The Media Center will be closed after school on Friday, so be sure to stock up on your Spring Break reads early!

  • Don’t forget this is Spring Spirit Week! The remaining spirit days are Twin Day Thursday and Class Colors on Friday.
